Rite of Christian Initiation.

R.C.I.A. or, as we name this programme, 'The Journey in Faith'.

The parish has held this very successful programme for a number of years. It runs roughly from the first Wednesday in October through to a few weeks after Easter. It culminates at  the Celebration of Easter Vigil. We will welcome any parishioner who may wish to reflect on their faith. If you would like to

  • explore your faith?

  • find out more about what we believe?

  • have an opportunity to ask questions about what the Church believes?

then come to our Journey in Faith sessions. It is also an opportunity for anyone who is not baptised or a baptised member of another church and who might be thinking about joining the Catholic Church to come along and find out more about us. We also welcome any baptised Catholics who has not received one or more of the Sacraments.

FIRST MEETING on Wednesday 2nd October in St Paul’s Presbytery From 8.00 pm - 9.00 pm

Each session consists of Explanation time, Tea-Break & Brief Prayer-Time. Come and see - there is no obligation.

Over the  time this programme has been  running, a large number of people have participated  and have returned for a second year because they felt they  had learnt  and had a deeper understanding of their faith  and  so had benefitted from the experience.

Our meetings involve some input from the leaders and discussions in small groups to let us all explore how God can really help to enrich our lives.

We meet on Wednesday evenings 8:00pm to 9:00pm

in St Pauls’ Presbytery (Priest’s house) starting 2nd October and finishing after Easter.

If any one feels an interest in coming along after Mass on Wednesday evenings, please speak to Fr. John Southworth or just turn up.
