15 members of St Paul’s UCM attended our annual retreat day at Sandymount House of Prayer, a retreat house run by the Montfort Missionaries.

The day was led by Fr Jacob from Savio Salesian College, supported by Sue MacDonald. Fr Jacob spoke of the calling of motherhood in many walks of life, from rearing of our own children, to our grandchildren and the general mothering that many of us do for the wellbeing of others. It was a wonderfully sunny day and there was the opportunity for reflection after our workshops by the River Mersey, before a shared lunch followed by a closing Mass at 1500.
